Guys,
I spoke to the operator today who was very helpful and asked me to send in a letter confirming that I wish to go in for CP, since my PD is prior to Feb 1998.

Could anyone tell me what happens next?

1>When NVC mails out Packet III, do we have to send it back to NVC or directly to Mumbai consulate?

2>Initially, I had applied for pkt 3, since mumbai required one, but now since my I-824 is approved, do I have to go in for regular CP or can I apply directly using AC-140

3> When does NVC forward the case to Mumbai?

You need to wait until PD is current. Hopefully, it will be next month.

Sent pkt.3 today. Though my attorney has still not recd. pkt. 3 from NVC, we called Mumbai and since they confirmed that they had recd. our file from NVC, I went ahead and sent out pkt. 3 today...

Spoke to Mumbai last night. They have recd. our pkt. 3 and entered into their system. Told us to expect an April interview..

NVC -> BMB tracker - P3 update

Now the message says:
"A pkt of forms have been sent to the attorney on record on Jan 15th(yup it says the 15th!) they should be received in 4-6 weeks"(this seems to be the standard time for anything and everything at NVC!, do they actually think someone will believe that and sit around for 4/6 weeks doing nothing to find out :-)
"These forms must be filled and returned to the US consulate in Mumbai to schedule an interview. Please do not call the consulate to find out the interview date. They will caontact you thru mail. If the pakt of forms is not received please contact the NVC in writing ....."

I now need to check with the attorney.

P III has been received by my attorney.

I wonder whether I can still make it in the February list of the consulate. I can send it only on 6th or 7th of February by FEDEX.

What are the experiences of others?

PIII received

My attorney received PIII today. We went and signed the PIII as he had all the details filled. He has sent the documents to Mumbai consulate by fedex today.

Surprisingly, the covering letter to the attorney was dated 22nd Jan. PIII was created on 15th Jan and was probably posted on 30th Jan (as per recording) and received on 6th Feb.

I didn't bother to call the NVC operators.
