NVC Message Help

Hi All,
My 824 got cleared on Feb 15th 2001 for changing AOS to CP.

I called up NVC today and the recorded message says that "we are unable to access your case information at this time ...Please contact an operator.....etc". So I wanted to talk with the operator and they told me that they have received the case and it would take 6/8 weeks before they send Packet III to my attorney. Even the operator enquired which country do I belong and if an attorney address is mentioned in my documents.

My priority date is Sept 21, 2000. I am expecting it to be current on March 10th visa bulletin.

I would like to know if NVC people really takes 6/8 weeks to send the packet III to the attorney or they just say like that to keep us away from them for 6/8 weeks. Has anybody received the packet III before 6 weeks? May I also know when this recorded message would be updated??

Be Patient for a little while

You are one of the lucky ones. It will take a little time for the Creation of Pkt3 and sending and interview and ....
You can expect an interview in May-July time frame depending on the consulate and ..

NVC Message Help

Don't worry meenu,

Your packet III should be created soon.

My pkt 3 was created in 4 weeks to be exact and I think it will take another 2 weeks for the case to reach the consulate.

Even my PD should be current next month, so maybe we can hook up later on if we have interview around the same time.

pkt III

May be restating the obvious - you may want to download pkt III and start filling it, instead of waiting for NVC to send it. You may have to do a bit of catching up to do in terms of finding out your parents' official DOB, place of birth and all the fun stuff like that. Finding out what docs you need specific to your case like polic certs, eperience letters, tax returns (for pkt IV) is another cycle.
