The NVC sent Packet III to my lawyer on 02/06/01

The Embassy did receive the case.

However, It has been more than 2 weeks now and my lawyer didn't receive it ?

Does it normally take that long ?
Any similar Cases ?

If the consulate has recd. your file, dont wait for your lawyer to receive it. Download the forms, fill them up and send it to the consulate. Same thing happened in our case. Though the file was sent to the consulate on 30th Dec. the pkt.3 was sent to the lawyer only on 16th Jan.

I just spoken with my Lawyer and She informed me that She received Packet III today, and she will mail to me.

My Lawyer is asking me to fill Packet III, mail it to her and she will mail it to the Consulate.

What do you think ? Should I mail it to the consulate myself or should I follow what the Laywer saying ??

I suggest that you send it to consulate directly yourself. That way you will have more control over the process. Involving lawyers slows down what is otherwise a very straightforward process. However, you SHOULD have your lawyer review your completed Packet III before you send it. This can be done over fax and telephone.

You will need to attach G-28 (printed on sky blue paper and available at immihelp.com) completed by your lawyer to your application indicating to the consulate that you have legal representation. Ask your lawyer to send this to you right away.
