Change from Consular to I-485

I had filed my I-140 with consular processing option and it got approved.


But now I want to change from Consular Processing to I-485 , is this possible ??


Will this delay my I-485 filing


Gurus please advice what steps do I need to taker to do this

Sure you can change CP to AoS. I did it without nay problems.

CP was applied on Sept, 06 and later changed to AoS on Oct, 06. The case was approved on May, 07

It's doable..BUT

it will take much more time, probably a year to get into I-485 Q!!!

Better option is to get CP done if you have no other compelling reasons to change to I-485 / change interview date.
