visit US on job duty while waiting for CP process outside US

I return back to Thailand becuase the 6th year visa has been reach. I have beening working with local company in Thailand while my visa number become current. I am about to file CP now. My company in Thailand want to sent me for conference meeting in the USA for a week. Is it possible to visit US without interfere or cancel with my GC process? Should I go ahead and file CP right away? What is the visa to apply for visiting US?
