My address in the passport says I am in madras jurisdiction and before coming to US I worked in Bombay.

Is it possible I can use Bombay as my jurisdiction ?

Similar situation as mine. YOU CANNOT. You have to go to Chennai. Make sure you communicate this to the NVC when you file gets there so that they ship to the correct consulate (in your case Chennai)
