successful AC140 at Mumbai

Case Date from Mumbai: 9 Oct `00
Interview: Dec 20, 00.

Was asked for: the required documents (that are detailed in the list that comes with appointment letter) + I-824 receipt .

Was also asked to just see : EAD approval (Practical Training) i.e. between my F1 and H1 status.
Also receipts of H1 and H1 extension. Just glanced, did not even ask for copy for record for the above three. Also, asked to see my spouse's EAD card as she is working. Since copies of all required docs were already sent by attorney once interview was scheduled, it seemed she (the indian officer) just wanted to throw in some extra questions.

No Tax copies and sailing permit asked.

American officer asked one question - that I will continue to work for company that did my H1 (my answer: yes).

Overall smooth.

Did they ask you for I824 receipt along with the interview letter??

Did they bother to see it at the time of interview??

They did see the I-824 receipt as I handed it over with the
rest of documents - I dont know whether they would have asked otherwise.
