I have a question about the mother's maiden last name.
In OF 230 I in item 16 they ask about mother's maiden name. My mother had her green card in 1988 which she surrendered later on. The maiden name she used at that time is different from the one I am currently using for my social security no. Will this be problem when I go for my CP at Delhi? Is motheer's last maiden name an issue for the EB consular processing? Should I get it changed on my Social Security no? Can I get it changed by applying to SSA.
Kindly give your suggestions or personal experiences.

Mother's name on BC

Hi evrybody,
My birth certificate had wrong mother's name. So we had it corrected in the birth register itself with a comment at the bottom of certificate that correction in mother's name is made on June 1 2000 with the correct name of my mother and signature of the registrar.
Do you think my BC will cause any promblems (all the fields are in both Hindi and English). This addendum is in English too. Do you advise me to take additional documents to prove my mother's name (like old ration card, affidavit etc.).
