Some of you might have read about my AC-CP attempts. In the interim my 824 has gotten approved. Here are the details:
filed : EB2, NSC , received date Apr6,2000
notice date: Apr 11, 2000
approval date : nov21 , 2000
I was trying the NVC with the 824 receipt number!!
Thanks to the info by Lakshmi it basically saved my ***: I called again and the message said my case is current and that they will send the documents to the attorney. I have to see when the pkt3 was sent out and to which consulate and what the case number is .
I believe for this I will have to speak to an operator as this information is not available on the automated line at NVC. Is this correct or is this info obatainable on the automated service?
Thanks a lot .
This resource for information exchange is proving invaluable!!
Are you sure that I-824 approved people have to enter the receipt number of the I-140 approval @ NVC , instead of the I-824 approval notice receipt # ?
I entered mine today and I got "Case not found" message.
Yes, Even if your I824 is approved you have to enter your I140 receipt number or approval number to know the actual status of your case. If you have a case number then you can enter your case number.
Covey, for you to get your case number you can talk to the operator by entering bogus number, So that you will be connected to the operator and they will provide you all the info.
Hope this helps.
lakshmi is absolutely correct. entering the I824 does not work . You have to enter the I140 receipt number.
I figured out what lakshmi suggested: enter a bogus number, get connected to the operator and then get the info:
here is the info I found out about my case:
entered into the NVC system on the 2nd of Jan
not yet sent to the consulate, the pkt 3 has not been sent either.
I wonder how long the NVC guys will sit on it?
Did you mean that it took 25 days to transfer file from TSC to NVC or to approve I 824.Please post your details such as I 824 approval date and the date NVC received your case. My I 824 approval from TSC was on Nov 2,2000 and I have waited for more than 2 months for my file to get to NVC. It has'nt reached there yet. I know of another person in the same boat. Thanks.
