Advanced Parole and experience at Mumbai airport

I would appreciate hearing from netters who have used Advance Parole to reenter US as to their experiences in Indian airports (preferably Mumbai). I am planning to show my AP approval if that works. My H-1b visa has been cancelled as I got my immigrant visa approved via CP.

Should I anticipate any problems showing AP? (reason being recent postings by netters of harassments by Indian immigration officials at Mumbai airports claiming that one needs IT clearance and Police clearance certificate).

Don't use advance parole..

Immigration officials know that since they have
cancelled your H-1B visa you have immigrant visa.

I do not think you will have any problems with the IV stapled to the envelope. Whenever somebody started flipping through my p.p., I'd ask them if they were looking for a US Visa and then I'd show them the stapled IV. Nobody complained.

BTW, I just returned two days back and have friends who did CP and returned in December - nobody reported any problems.

When I entered with IV stapled to envelope, I had no problems at Mumbai airport. I would give the envelope and the passport to them and they were fine with that. (March 2000)
