I married my husband via proxy in Houston, after exhausting all efforts of marriage in France. He is Algerian, he is living in Paris, France under Student Visa. I'm U.S. citizen living in Texas.
Tried to marry in France, paperwork expired for French courts. Anyways, I'm filing the I-130 form tomorrow, any tips on how to prove this is a real marriage, besidesjoint bankaccount,, e-mails, phone bills showing calls to Paris, , photos, a furniture rental store receipt. Also have letter a Intent to marry in France.
Its hard to establish true relationship when spouse is overseas and never been to U.S.
I've been to Paris twice, once to try to turn in paperwork for marriage in France, and did not accomplish, 2nd trip Nov. 2007 was our honeymoon. 2 days after our Proxy marriage by Texas Judge. Marriage consumated, otherwise I could not file I-130 form.
Any advice???, anyone ever had situation like mine???
