CP for Family based GC application

Hi,

I have few questions regarding Family based GC processing. My mother's case is at the last stage. I have not received an interview letter, yet. What are the next steps? Is it possible to schedule the CP interview in US instead of her birth country i.e India? If no then do I need to contact US consulate in Mumbai to schedule an interview? How much is the current wait period between the schedule date and an actual interview date at mumbai consulate?

there are no consulates in US to schedule an interview at.

If your mom is in USA why not apply I-485 instead of CP.
