I received a letter today (from the NVC ) telling me that they need a passport number for my 6 yr old step-son , his visa pics and a original birth certificate. Well does that mean that he has to get a Philippine passport ? ? Is that the way to go with this before I can proceed with the immigration of my boy ? ? I find it hard to believe that they make a minor of 6 years go through this many changes to get here with his mother and I.. And they ask for the original birth certificate or certified copy of the original, how do we get a certified copy as we really don't want to give up the original as it cost me almost $300.00 just to get it from the Philippine gov't.
