Applying for Candian PR while US consular processing in process?

I have just mailed in form DS3032, and am awaiting reply back as to interview date for Consular procesing in Delhi.

My question is - is there a good reason that I do not apply for canadian PR right now? Should I wait until I have had my interview at the consulate in delhi?

I am awaiting for USCIS to provide me with an interview date at the Delhi consulate.
I am currently doing a masters degree in Canada, and applying for Canadian PR has the immedu\aite benefit of instate tuition, apart from the longer term benefits of freely travelling and working in Canada.

IS it possible to attain both US & Canbdian PR status?

No. You have to forgo one. How can you be a permanent resident in 2 countries? It goes against the very definition of it.
