no birth certificate

Hi
we got GC interview date next week. I am primary applicant and my wife is a dependent. She lost her original birth certificate. We have a scanned copy.

Will this be a problem at interview? how to handle this situation?
Can we take new Birth certifcate to interview?

If we want to postpone interview, how may days in advance we should inform?

Rules for Birth Certificate are clear

1. You should have an original birth certificate.

or

A Letter from the mulicipality indicating that they have no record of birth.
B. 2 Affadavits to support that she was borth at the specfic date etc.


In your case as you have a photocop why don't you just rush and get it re -issued from the Municipality.

You never know if they ask for an original at the interview you may have an issue..

Walking in with a Photocopy is a High Wire act, you may get luck and they do not ask.. and it can go the other way too..

So act quickly.
