  • Brother-in-law ahould be co-sponsor or joint sponsor

    Hello

I have paid my AOS fee online about 10 days back. I have few questions :
    a) I am unemployed since 04/09 so I want to take help from my brother-in-law to compensate the income requirements. Do I need to make him a co-sponsor or joint sponsor (as I think I can't count him under household member). Which form I need to fille and which one he needs to fill ?
    c) Do I need to provide any documents to establish my relation with my brother-in-law ?
    e) After NVC receives AOS packet, I think next step is to send applicant documents (beneficiary's). How much time approx it can take before we need to send those documents ?
    e) I have only worked 2 months in current year. What income I should mention in I-864 as my current annual income (should I mention what I earned in those 2 months?)

What case is this? Family petition? and you are the Petitioner? I don't know if NVC handles AOS cases. You might need to send to USCIS.

If you are the petitioner and doing I-864, you will need the following forms:

    (1) I-864 from you
    (1) I-864 from your brother in law (he needs to be a citizen)
    (1) I-864A from your brother in law's spouse (if any)

You will need to send all required documents for each I-864.
Regarding your annual income for current year, you should put expected/anticipated income.
