Green Card Timings

This is my first posting and I hope there might be some answers to a couple of questions that I have.

My wife is a UK citizen-I am an American citizen. We live in London.We are going to return to the US where our children live. My wife's green card application has been approved save for the medical interview which we will be arranging in the next few months.

My questions are:
1. How much time will we have after the final counsular interview before we have to leave for the USA.

2. Does my wife's US tax liability begin in the UK when the green card application is approved or when she arrives in the USA

3. Can she go back to the UK for a visit within the first six months after her arrival in the USA

I hope there are answers out there and that I am not being too greedy asking three questions.

1. Within 6 months ( I think it expires after that)
2. tax is linked to earnings.....
3. i would imagine so as she should have her GC within that time
