I've recently filed CR-1 petition for husband (non-USC) to come to US. We're almost through the end of the process. At this point, we're waiting for an interview date.
My husband's ex-wife's name appears on the Indian passport. We didn't get a chance to do this during the initial filing of I-130 petition. If husband gets a new passport that reflects my name, is this going to pose a problem? Is it necessary to do at this point in the process? Can this be done after the interview? The problem is that if this is done, he will be issued a new passport with a new passport number.
Has anyone come across this issue?
