how much longer does it take?????
I have been married to an us citizen for 2 1/2 yrs now. we moved to the states about 6 months ago. i got my immigrant visa in frankfurt, germany in may 2004. when i arrived in chicago i went through the visa processing with fingerprinting and all... since then (MAY 2004) i have been waiting on my greencard. I have written several letters to several immigration offices and always gotten the same response.."our office does not process public matters" 
I have no paperwork on my visa. only the scratched out visa page in my passport. can any one tell me how much longer I have to wait? or who I need to contact to find out the status of my case?
I am going crazy here, because I can neither get a job, nor a driver's license... I have been sitting in the house each and every (damn) day for the past 6 MONTHS !!!!
