Hey guys, I've really been overthinking the following situation for weeks now (and lost a bunch of money), so any insight would be GREATLY appreciated!
What would be more fitting the following scenario for the green card application...consular processing or adjustment of status?
-Met my now wife in Germany several months ago (I'm German, she is U.S. citizen)
-She has a job lined up in Germany that she was planning to start in 2 weeks
-We came to the states, initially for vacation, and got married here
-Now we're considering staying here but she has no financial back-up and no job (yet). The only thing we'd have is a co-sponsor
-Ideally, I'd get my work authorization sooner than later but I don't mind waiting it out for a bit to start working (I know consular processing can take less sometimes)
What would make more sense in the following situation, to stay in the US and do it here or complete the process in Germany? It seems like consular processing takes less currently + she has a job lined up in Germany.
When it comes to showing proof for bona fide marriage, there are no issues.
Thanks in advance!
