1.Can some one let me know generally how much time it takes before getting the interview call once the consulate receives from DS-230-I. i am asking this because i have to obtain the PCC. However, currently i am outside US ( in Japan) and not in a position to obtain it before end of Feb. someone mentioned in the expriences that it's advisable to obtain the PCC before sending the final documents, since it takes apprx. 40 days to obtain a PCC. and the interview call may come before that. Final documents means DS-230-I?

2. if i send the papers right now, can i expect a call before end of Feb. if yes, can i reschedule it?

3. What's the exact diffrence between the Attorney ceritifed and Consular processing. I have opted for Attorney certified, since my I-140 was approved for Adjustmetn of status. However, as currently i am not in US, i changed it to CP by filling form I-824. I have already received the receipt notice for the same from INS and can now send DS-230-I.

Comments on all the three points is highly appreciated.

Hi Ramesh,

Usually it takes 2 to 2 1/2 months to get the interview date once you send the DS 230 Part I to consulate.
