What Visa should I pursue?

Hello everyone. I am a 21 year old female, currently in a long distance relationship with a 28 year old male. I live in Portugal, he lives in the US (Florida). We've been together for a year and a half, and we have met in person 3 times. I visited him in Florida for the first time in January and I stayed there for a month and returned to Portugal just a few days ago. I will graduate around July/August this year with a Biology degree. My plan is to go to Florida and either find one (possibly more) internships to gain work experience, or straight up find a job on my field.

However, I am really unsure about the type of immigrant Visa I should go for, or how to go about this requesting/waiting process considering a lot of the Visas take a long time to either get accepted or denied, and I really want to stay in the US to work after my graduation without having to leave again after 3 months. So ultimately I want to pursue a green card. Me and my boyfriend are not ready to marry yet, so that's currently the last option we are looking into. I would rather get an employment type of Visa, but for that I need a sponsor and I'm not sure how that works either, not to mention I would probably want to get work experience in various places to find out what I really want to do, meaning I would have to hop on from sponsor to sponsor (?).

Any advice? How should I go about this situation?
