  • Police Report

I want to ask if anyone has ever had a police report waivered and the Visa was issued without the police report? I have a situation where my spouse lived outside of his country and in another country. He is now living in his country and they want him to travel to the other country where he use to live to get the police report in person. I sent a letter appealing the case because of this and the expenses and dangers of having to go.

They didn't answer, but said the case is under review. Does it sound like they will grant my request since it's under review? They have all other documents they need but keep having me fill out the D230 claiming a
six-month gain in his residence. I don' see the gap and when I told them
to specifically point out where this gap is, I got another automated
message saying that the case is under review. Does this sound like a
    positive outcome for us?

I think you will have to provide the certificates. I have not seen getting
them waived if it is possible to get them.

      I don't think so

Find a way to get the police report or something else. They find it hard to answer calls, I'm not sure they will reply this issue through e-mail.

      Best of luck!

You have to absolutely get the report... that is the only document that establishes that you do not have any outstanding conviction that may exclude you from taking permenant residence outside your home country.

In India you have to get 2 police certificates.

        1. From the Police Station.
        2. From the Passport office.
