My husband lived in Jordan for four years so according to the requirements for consular processing from the NVC he needs a police report from any country he lived in more than 6 months.
However using the Department of State link provided on the NVC website, police certificates for Jordan are unavailable.
Jordan does give certificates of Nonconviction. However, the NVC specifices police certificates.
What's the difference between the certificate of Nonconviction and a police certificate? Will we still need to get the Nonconviction one if the police certificate is unavailable? They do state that if a police certificate is unavailable then it's not required. We are just confused about if we should then get the Nonconviction certificate or we aren't required to get that if he has no record of any wrong doing.
If anyone has any experience on this matter specific to Jordan it would be much appreciated.
