Hello,
I qualified for dropbox interview waiver and I am right now in Kerala. I shipped all my documents to my relative dropped off my documents at Bengaluru consulate.
I believe these documents will be transferred to the Chennai consulate. At the time my relative dropped it off, the person at the desk mentioned that my photos might get rejected because there were shadows behind my ears and chin though he wasn’t sure.
He gave us an option to either come back by 4 pm or trying submitting with the same photos.
Since I am not in Bengaluru and there was no way to get my photos by 4 pm, we decided to submit.
After a few days, my visa got refused when I go to the site CEAC and enter my application details, I got the message :
“A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete. Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV or the website for the Embassy or Consulate at which you made your visa application.
For more information, please visit U.S. Consulate General Chennai.”
I emailed them and called but get the standard answer that the passport is going through administrative processing and the embassy will contact me. Has anyone gone through similar experiences? If photo is rejected then can I electronically upload the photos? How do I even know what is the problem?
