Received interview appointment confirmation email for Jun 3, 2022 on May 4, 2022. We are still waiting for the actual interview confirmation letter from NVC, has been a week so far but no sign yet. Do we normally receive this soon after getting the email? Rele Clinic in Mumbai requires a scan of the interview letter to schedule the medical appointment with them, so starting to panic a bit if the actual letter doesn't show up in time.
- Their PCC (through Passport Office/PSK) was complete Nov 2020. Based on what I read on travel.state.gov, it appears that the PCC is valid for only 1 year, yet I see posts here where people are reporting 2-year old PCC's are valid too. To be safe, I'm in the process of getting a new one issued for my parents, but can anyone confirm if a fresh one is absolutely necessary?
- I submitted I-864 for parents in 2020, which was one of the requirements to get documentarily qualified. I've changed jobs a couple of times after that - do I need to update that anywhere? Reading in forums online, I gathered that the I-864 doesn't expire and there isn't a need to submit a new one. I will be providing my latest tax return and W2's however. Do I need to upload my latest tax return to the portal if I do so, or can my parents just take the printout of my latest return and W2's along with the existing I-864?
1. This is the only IL that you will receive. No physical letters will be sent. I have completed my medical at Delhi, two days ago, using the e-mail and today I am going for the biometrics. Take a print out of the e-mail, that is the physical letter.
2. Off late we have seen in the forum that PCC as old as 18 months have been accepted. The website states the validity as two years. However if you can get a new one before the interview, there is no harm. I got a new PCC for the interview. In any case an older PCC will not jeopardise the process.
3. I-864 is not to be resubmitted. Latest copy of the Tax return can either be uploaded (preferably) or can be presented at the time of interview.
I think I have responded to all your doubts. Incidentally me and my wife have our interview on June 10. Best wishes to all.

Thanks so much for your reply to my question!
I sent a PDF of the email to the clinic and I'm hoping they will accept that for the physical. I'll also plan on uploading my latest return and W2's to the portal per your recommendation, and will also ensure my parents carry a copy of it to the appointment.

I had a follow-up question. If there is no physical IL sent out, is the printout of the email sufficient for the actual IV appointment as well? It looks like you're going to be taking it to the biometrics appt, so that seems promising, but was wondering if that's not an issue for the actual IV appt. Thanks once again and wish you all the best too!

Dear Fellow Members, I have a question to you all who all stayed in hotel Trident in Mumbai, I don't have any idea about hotels in India. My apologies for asking silly question: There will be one person with my elderly parents when they will travel from Kolkata to Mumbai, my question is, can 3 people stay in one room ? I was looking for family room but there is no family room available on that day. Please share your experience. Thanks

My parents Interview is on Jun 2 but we didnt get any biometrics appointment 15 days prior to their interview at Mumbai, hence we took a biometric appointment @ HYD for June 1 ( one day prior to the interview) and will be flying same day to Mumbai for the interview on June 2. As far as i have researched this seems to be ok. Biometrics 1 day prior @ a location other than Mumbai. Has anyone else faced this situation? if yes can you please share your thoughts

Dear turbunatorcf, Best wishes for your parents interview on May 13. Kindly post the updates after the interview. The response to your queries is as follows:
1. Hopefully they will be interviewed together. You need only one set of documents with originals and copies of all the documents submitted to the NVC. Prepare three folders one for Dad one for mom and one common with the following documents:
For a Consular Interview- DS 260 confirmation page
- Two recent photographs 2x2 inches
- Medical Report (No X-ray films or discs)
- Police Clearance Certificate from the Regional Passport Office
- Original and photocopy of Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Divorce decree
- Affidavit of Support: Forms I-864, I-864A, recent Tax returns, W2s and job letter (if not already submitted to the NVC)
They were handed a paper asking to pay USCIS immigration fees. Wanted to check in this forum if we need to pay this fees now or we can wait for them to arrive in US and pay when we want to get physical green card.
Thanks
