@Harinder dhindsa, jass26, Hgpatel, rga2021, are you also required to get new PCC before interview as the previously submitted PCC must be expired by now?

Also, can anyone share about how much passport validity is required by the interview date? My parents passports are going to expire in June 2022 and when we submitted all the documents in July 2020, their passports were valid for 2 years. Do we have to renew the passports before the interview and update NVC as we are still waiting for interview. DQ is October 2020.

Yes, new PCC is needed that's no more than a year old

Passport should be valid for atleast 8 months from the intended date of entry to the US - so at least 8 months from the time you have the interview (and all goes well!)

Hello Everyone,
I got an email from NVC on 12th May 2020 for mom and dad that visa case become Documentary Qualified. Is that my DQ date?
Priority date is June 2019.
DQ date - 12th May 2020

Hopefully can get an interview letter soon for my parents.

IR5_2020 The PSKs were closed since March last week 2020 till middle June 2020. So the immigrant visa applicants were not able to fix appointment with Passport Seva Kendra to obtain Police Clearance Certificate. This was our case too just like many. This delayed the process of submission of documents to NVC to become DQed. So the DQed cases for May and June would not be many.

Parents were DQ on June 26, 2020. Reading the information from other posts here, looks like their interviews could be scheduled in February.
