Is Mumbai consulate scheduling interviews for IR5 (Parent of a U.S. citizen)

Monday pass no news . Sand around 5 emails no reply also called they don’t know either. Just update about my case if something changes I will post.

I feel very sorry for you. The dilemma you are in, is really unheard of, in this Forum. Unfortunately, no member of the forum seems to have gone through a similar situation. Maybe Tushkatheria, can add some thing. His father’s VISA had got delayed, but he was told about some administrative processing. We can only hope and pray that the issue is sorted out soon. By the way, do you live close to Mumbai? Maybe a visit to the consulate is needed.

I called today they told me visit consulate not going to help you. They will not answer you so you just wait.

What I have found out is -
One * in the annotation means one comment / footnote. Normally these days there is one comment “ IV Docs in CCD” which means that all required documents are online (for new immigrants)
If there are two ** , that means there are two comments.
I do not know the meaning of second comment “ COUPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551……….1 YEAR.”

GeoMac , "COUPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551……….1 YEAR" means that even if you don't receive the greencard (the rectangle plastic card with its own barcode), you can use the visa stamp in your Indian passport as an equivalent immigration document. I surely hope that most folks receive the greencard within a few weeks and at most a few months. However, given the rabbit-hole that the immigration system is, the 1 year visa stamp is a fallback option.

my parents DQ is july 9th 2021 and we might get IL in next sets. My question is do we have to upload new tax returns and W-2 online. Do they ask for it ? Any one who had experienced this thing in their interview can please share this with me?

first of all best wishes for the IL in the next round of ILs. This may be just round the corner now. Latest Tax returns and W2 will be mentioned in the IL. It is best to upload, but the hard copies must still be carried. Most of us in the forum, did upload these documents and we were not asked about these documents. But my sister and her husband had a different experience in January this year. Inspite of uploading they still wanted to see the hard copies. However the things are now a little more systematic and more liberal. In a nutshell, uploading is desirable. Best wishes again.

Payal you don’t have to upload as per my case they did not ask for it. Only thing they ask for Pcc , BC , MC .

What you have asked is an important question. I went there three times, once for my daughter and again for my b1/b2 and this time for my gc and every time the question in my mind was why there is no shade for those who are waiting out. They do not allow you to stand on the roadside which is adjucent to consulate. When the intake time arrives, the lady employees come out of the premises and shout to the visa aspirants and their relatives standing on the opposite side of the busy road "all the 7:30 people come, only candidates, no others...." a roadshow appearance. All the waiting relatives helplessly wait for 2-3 hours on opposit side of the road underneath scarcely branched trees. No bathroom in near vicinity. Think of the inconvenience of elderly and sick/weak relatives who came along with their people.
So sapnaanagol ma'am, you will have found the answer of your first question after reading this post. Answer to your second question- there are very few flies in the waiting area because scores of people wait, get bored and kill flies. ha ha ha.

I slightly differ with Raj2022 and AlienKanpur. Uploading w2 and Tax Returns Transcript is not a big task. That would be better because the consular officers who are highly experienced in their job, dont instantly call the next person. They open the next person's case on their screen and study it and when they are through that, call the concerned person and start the interview. If documents are seen on screen and cleared, they wont ask the physical copy. Even otherwise also petitioner's financial documents are not expected to be in possession of the applicant.(though our petitioner children send the docs to us)
As a matter of fact, financial document uploaded are what is right.
