I carried my new passport and two old passports, one of which had valid visas of USA and UK. Another old passport I carried had expired visa of other country. I did not carry with me other old passports. If you have valid B1/B2 or any US visa on your old passport or on current passport, the officer will want it to put a cancellation stamp.

you need to carry only the current passport and the passport on which VISA is stamped. The expired passports need not be carried. Best wishes.

1. IR5 cases are dealt with at US Consulate Mumbai only.
2. When they grant Immigration Visa, they put a "CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE" stamp on nonimmigrant visa page in your passport.
My point is that, that this may be a phising mail. Be careful.

212a issue. With eligible to file waiver. Need help
thanks
really sorry to hear that your father’s visa has been refused. I wonder if any body in the forum is competent to handle such an issue. I tried looking into the issue of 212a. This seems to be all about “public charge”. The officer may have felt that your father may become a public liability. Generally, such clauses come without a waiver. In your case, your father is eligible to file a waiver. This is a serious matter and I suggest that the help of an attorney must be taken. Best wishes.

Good luck for your mom’s forthcoming interview. You must have fixed the biometrics appointment. The intimation from the biometric people gives you a list of all the documents that would be needed at the time of Interview. If my memory serves me right she must carry the following:
For a Consular Interview- DS 260 confirmation page
- Two recent photographs 2x2 inches
- Medical Report (No X-ray films or discs)
- Police Clearance Certificate from the Regional Passport Office
- Original and photocopy of Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Divorce decree
- Affidavit of Support: Forms I-864, I-864A, recent Tax returns, W2s and job letter (if not already submitted to the NVC)
Best wishes.

Dear Raj2022,
I already mentioned that this is a serious matter and you cannot afford any further denial. You need to consult an attorney at your end, not your father in India. Like our entire case was handled by the ****** Law firm in LA. My daughter who lives in the Midwest, had hired them.
I am totally incompetent in this particular issue.
Best wishes.
