I am asking because, we have also verified that the results are negative over the phone from Rele Clinic, but wanted to know if i should wait for email or text from consulate to re-schedule or should i just go ahead with scheduling?

I want to see if someone can give their opinion on this matter, as I am trying to save days because i dont know when I am going to hear from consulate.
I received a mail from Consulate to get my slot, but I had done it earlier.I got sms from the Medical facility regarding the negative reports before the mail.

        Thank you again!

Hi apshah05,I have observed that most of the IR5 applicants get their Visa approved by consulate Officers.
1.My interview was at 7.15am. I reached there at 6.55am.
2.Generally all the people having immigration visa get the approval.
3.I had not taken mobile,Small umbrella is allowed,I had taken to consulate as it was raining.
4.First our things are screened & then we are allowed inside
5.We get token from one window.
6.The first time our token number is announced, hey asked for Birth certificate, marriage certificate ,Passport
7.Second time announcement,A foreign officer interviews
8.We are made to take oath.
9.He asked: Who is inviting me to USA? What is her name, her address/,how many kids, whether she is an American.Thats it!
10.He said my Visa was approved , congratulationsa& I would get my Passport by premier service in 5 to 6 days.He also said he is cancelling the tourist visa without prejudice.

just did it myself as soon as my mom conirmed with Max Delhi about the status of her medical test results.

          - There has been no communication from MAX Delhi to inform themselves, she had to follow up - that's just apparently MAX Delhi issue.
          - She didn't get an email from US Consulate to schedule interview till date but she got a call from US Consulate / US Travel Docs (not sure but the number was from mumbai) confirming that they have her medical results and see that she she has already scheduled the consulate interview and urged her to keep her appointment.

So that tells me there is absolutely no reason to delay the scheduling of appointment waiting for the intimation from US Consulate (email/phone) to schedule one.

          Good luck...

I filed in 2019, got an RFE about my Birth certificate, submitted papers etc.
In Oct 2020, the process of submitting all the documents got completed
In Jan 2021, the status changed to DQ
My parents interview was scheduled on 13th May 2022
When they went for Medical, my mom was asked for additional Sputum test
They went ahead with their fingerprinting anyways
I sent an email to rescheduled my dad's interview as well because they wanted to go together
During these 2 years me and my spouse changed jobs, address as well.
We filed a form for change of address but didn't do anything for job change. We did not upload new 864 rather gave them old and new 864 for interview
Once we got sputum test results, we got an email from US embassy to schedule an interview and that was addressed to my mom only since she got sputum test only
We went ahead and scheduled Finger printing and consular appointment on CGI website but thought that since they have already done fingerprinting so they can skip that but since they didn't go for fingerprinting, their consular appointment got cancelled automatically that's how CGI website works.
Tried emails/calls to check if they need fingerprinting again but was not helpful, they have standrad replies.

We scheduled both the interviews again on CGI website and when scheduling we had to pick Class B applicants although my dad didn't have test, we selected same for both as we didn't want to separate them

Went for fingerprinting, they knew it has been done but my parents told them that they have been asked to get it done again so they stamped a new DS 260 and put a new stamp on passport
Went for interview, they checked all the papers and asked basic questions like names of grand children's, ages and when did your daughter/son went to US and for what purpose
            Waiting for passport now

            My questions for this community
What are the insurance options for 76 year old, they need it as soon as they land
How do we pay 220 fee? We got the paper from embassy but don't know the DOS number, will it come with passport?

Please feel free to any questions, happy to help.

Congratulations and thanks for a nice chronology of events and steps to follow, will be a great help to others following us...

congratulations once again, you have been very helpful and I have taken clues from your notes to move ahead with my Mom's case. Keeping fingers crossed for interviews and follow-up.

One question - would she get her passport from Delhi location (that's what I requested while creating interview appointment) or they only mail it (as an option)?

This is quite a strange situation. The people at the medical examination centre check your data from the passport. Also, I wonder how you got your access to the vaccination records. This data is uploaded. At the time of the interview the consulate people will take the two sheet medical information sheet. Anyways you should carry both the Aadhar cards. In case they question you about the discrepancy, you can provide the explanation. I wonder, you have ample time to call the medical centre and ask them to make corrections. Best wishes.
                Dear AlienKanpur sir,
I don't know why they didn't check the date at the hospistal. But anyways, I spoke to the embassy and they said it is ok to bring the same report without having to correct the date. I will still have my mother carry the both Aadhar cards.

                    Dear tooolong,
The passport is stamped at the Mumbai Consulate and sent by courier to the address desired by you at the time you booked your Biometrics at VAC. Best wishes.

                        Dear tooolong
There are two options 1. Pick up from a location and 2. Premium delivery by courrier. If you chose the 2nd option then it will be delivered by courrier at your door step. The deliveryman will ask ₹650/- and your identity. For other option, I think one has to go personally to collect the passport.

I wrote to my Lawyer & he opines that they are reviewing the medical reports & there's nothing to worry, its just that I need to wait for few more days.
