Getting bit anxious as no feedback from NVC after DQ email ( DQ is 30th Jan 2023). In last few weeks there is no movement on IL or Interview date announcement? Do we know if what is current DQ getting processed for IL/Interview dates?

Tracking sheet missing update since April 14. Can everyone help sharing progress?

Many were not asked and some were asked. Just carry it along during interview, if they ask anything - only if they ask, then show them. Don't upload in advance and see how it goes. They asked my mother for it, even though it was not uploaded or ready, they did ask her if she has i-864a for my brother in-law, if we had it then would have completed process there itself.
      Dear kannansandesh
you made an i864A, are you sure? That is a document for additional support from a household member. My daughter's income was fair enough to sponsor me, but still they asked her husband's i864A as an additional household member, because they filed their Tax Returns jointly. That was asked before they assigned DQD. My daughter uploaded it and quickly I got DQed. In your case they gave you DQD but you are right your mom sholud carry an additional document i.e. i864A of your wife. You can also upload it. It will not hinder your already asigned DQD.

      • My parents are in a similar situation. They recently had to undergo sputum tests at Ahmedabad and had to cancel biometric and interview appointments (while the Apollo said it will be automatically cancelled but I could see the biometric and didn't receive any communication from NVC, so I went ahead and cancelled it anyway). Following your guide Shanaya, I tried to book biometric and interview appointments 2+ months out since the sputum tests anticipating they will be negative. However, I'm getting strange outcomes from the ustraveldocs.com site. Sometimes it doesn't let me schedule a biometric beyond June and sometimes I can schedule biometric in July or August but when I go to the next screen to schedule interview appointments, it says nothing is available. I tried calling Mumbai office of ustraveldocs.com but they were not helpful, said "keep looking for slots". Appreciate if anyone has experienced this and have a way out. Trying to schedule something in advance so when the sputum results come back in the first week of July, we can go to Mumbai later in July. Thank you so much for the help and guidance.

        • Does anyone what the processing times are for the category C21 (Spouse of Permanent resident). DQ'ed in March 2023. Not sure how long the wait is. If there is a thread for this category I will appreciate if someone can point me to it

            Dear faizone,
As per my limited knowledge of immigration, I am sure there is NO C21 category (spouse of permanent resident). However, CR1 which means Conditional Resident 1 category is there. As per current status the waiting time for a CR1 visa is around 18 months. Best of luck for your adjudication.

            • Dear collective braintrust,

Both my parents received their interview letters earlier this year. Subsequently they went for medical and biometrics. My mother progressed to interview but my father had to go through sputum test results. Now my father's sputum test results are back and he has run into challenges setting up a biometrics and interview appointment. For scheduling purposes the profile was created under my mother's details and my father was the dependent. However presumably since my mother has gone through the process, the site is not letting my father set up his appointments.

When he called the call center, se was informed to set up a separate profile with a separate email at ustraveldocs.com. He has done that and got this error. Any insight?

Since my father's sputum test results are valid only for 3 months, there is some anxiety in progressing to interview and taking next steps in very short amount of time.

CR 1 category waiting at present is around 7 months after DQD.

GeoMac I mean I made a I-864 for me which was approved and DQd but I know many face issues at interview with I-864a. I will get one filled out from my wife and send it with my mom for interview as you suggested. Thank you so much. This helps.

                      • I had dropped requested documents I-864A, Letter of Support, and passport copy at Ahmedabad VFS Dropbox on 12th May. Today morning status shows last update 16 may but still as refused. I guess will have to wait what’s missing for now or does status change later?

*update* Now it shows under administrative processing.

                        • My father created his profile on ustraveldocs after he received his sputum test results. He has gone through the Class B medical process for trying to get an appointment. While he has managed to get an appointment for biometrics no consulate interview appointments appear to be available, and he is not able to print the document for his biometric appointment. Any insight? Anyone recently try to secure appointments at Mumbai consulate?

                          Thank you.

I see several queries about the SSN and GC.
SSN generally arrives within 10 days after entering USA. In some cases it has taken upto three weeks. In case the SSN does not arrive within 3 weeks then one can approach the local SSN administration. Some forms will need to be filled up.
GC arrives anywhere from 35 days to 90 days after entering USA. One can check the progress of the GC through the NVC website by using the receipt number issued when one paid the $220 fee.
Best wishes to all in waiting.
My mother arrived in the US (San Francisco) on Jan 27. 30 days later we still had not received the SSN or GC.
                            - I took her to the local social security administration office. She was not in the system so we applied based on the visa stamp in her passport. She received the SSN in the mail after 30 days.
                            - There is no sign yet of the GC. It has been over 90 days. When I go to the site where I made the payment for the green card (https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant) i only see this status - "January 10, 2023 Immigrant Visa Fee Payment Received"
Does anyone know how to get an update on when she will receive the physical green card in the mail? Should I try to go to the local USCIS office?

BTW medical report is sent directly to the consulate, right? We have not received any notification for picking up medical report.

How did you cancel the interview appointment?
I am in similar situation, did you have to get the medical done again after the reports came to be negative?
