Did you take some action since they refused visa one year back? Better contact an attorney at the earliest in US.

I already told you that I am not competent in the matters of a refused VISA. Updating DS260 is a non-issue. Do not worry about that. You have to be in touch of your immigration attorney in this matter. best wishes.

Expedite advice needed
Hello Friends,
We have CR1 DQed 02/10/2023 for my wife. I tried to expedite request in March but got denied. I also filled NVC form but same result. I applied it due my elective surgery and financial loss due to lot of back and forth to India and managing two household.
Now I am in different situation. With god's blessing, my wife pregnant and into her first trimester. if i go by the IR5 visa interview appointment tracker sheet, it seems we should get scheduled sometime in last august or early September. however that's not guaranteed as you know. And we must have her CR1 visa by end of September to avoid 3rd trimester travelling restrictions.
FYI, I am a US citizen and post is mumbai consulate.
Please suggest a way to get it expedited. I am worried if i place another expedite request, it might not delay the case.
thanks in advance for the advice.

My parents are going for biometrics at Hyderabad VAC in July with the Immigrant Visa interview being in August in Mumbai.
1. is there a charge for the biometrics appointment (I setup the appointment at https://portal.ustraveldocs.com/ and didnt see any charge being mentioned - wanted to be sure)
2. how many photos are required for this?

Hi all - my mother arrived here on IR5 June 10th (saturday). At port of entry we updated my new address so they can send the SSN and GC to the new address --- went smoothly. It's been about 9 business days (accounting for Juneteenth) and we are yet to receive the SSN. Is this normal? Is there a time lapse after which I need to head to the social security office? Thanks in advance.

heartiest congratulations to hear about your wife getting DQ. Now you have to wait for the IL. In the present scenario you should get the IL within the next six months. Best wishes.

Dear AutisticManChild and vmsk0716
The SSN generally arrives within 10 working days, that translates to two weeks after entry into USA. In case it does not arrive in 21 days then you should contact the local SSN office. There is no portal where you can check the progress of SSN.
