    IndianDude,
Please be advised that the ustraveldocs.com site has been changed to usvisascheduling.com. Try this now.
    Best wishes.

Just go to the local Tehsil office and there are many Lawyers sitting there to do ALL this documentation immediately within 2 hrs for a nominal fee. Please be advised that all such documentation is now done ONLINE in India, so it does not take much effort/time. In fact, with so many people going abroad from India, therefore, these lawyers are well-versed for any such requirements. I got mine done similarly. The first items the Consular Officer asked were my Birth Certificate, PCC and latest ITR. Best wishes for your respected mother's adjudication.
      Dear asg1957 and user2022,

Is it (non-availability of birth certificate) issued by the municipality or the district administration? My elderly mother (from a small town) circled so many times from one to the other in vain, local municipality said district administration can do it, district administration said only local municipality can do it...finally gave up. We will probably try once more since she is not yet at the nvc step.

for my state it is municipal corporation. I suggest you type ""non-availability of birth certificate 'statename' "" and it might return you something useful. That is how i found it.

        • A birth cert if not available for people born before 1971, DoB should be evidenced with SSLC/SSC certificate with date of birth mention. If that is also not available, other options like affidavit from senior family members etc. is accepted as secondary evidence. NBC will be issued only when the person is born after 1971 and birth is not registered in municipal records

Facing the same issue. Keep getting redirected to URL with "ExternalAuthentication Failed". Was able login till last night. Hoping this resolves soon!

My parents (DQ date 3/27/23) got email yesterday (2nd) for IR-5 interview scheduled in Mumbai on September 11. Was able to create account yesterday evening on ustraveldocs->Atlas portal. While was able to login last night, saw there are no biometrics appointments at Delhi VAC till mid-October. Same for other locations except Hyderabad, which had earliest one on 9/11. What to do in this case? What if no slots open up before the 9/11 interview. Any advice will be appreciated. And now can't even login on this Atlas portal!

Was able to schedule medical appointment at MAX Delhi by calling them directly.

                Thanks in advance.

                  Hi there!
I also had problems with login to new site. I followed these steps using the same email addr that I had used on the old site.

                  1. Go to http://www.usvisascheduling.com/
                  2. Click on "Sign up now"
                  3. Enter Username, setup the Password and Email Address, and click on "Send Verification Code" --> Note: username cannot be email address
                  4. Enter Verification Code received on email ID
                  5. Click on "Verify Code" and set the security questions
                  6. Click on "Create"

                  hope that helps!

@visa_jdoe - have you tried the above steps?

Added later: after I created the account on new website successfully, there are other issues, I am unable to continue with the application. On talking to customer service I was informed that they have some technical issues after launching the new site. So, I am going to give in couple more days.

Thanks @gc2023. Yes, I'm past the login issues. But the non-availability of biometrics appointments at Delhi VAC before September 11 is still a problem. Called Delhi VAC at 11-2419-8000. They gave a Mumbai number to contact... 22-620-11000... which is always engaged. Hence I have gone ahead and booked a VAC slot in late-October (since now I see those getting filled up too). Planning to wait a few days to see if something opens up before 9/11. Otherwise will email [email protected] requesting guidance and/or reschedule of 9/11 interview appointment to November.

                    Thanks.

                      Dear Aviask2,
Like I mentioned earlier, please go to any of the lawyers sitting in the local Tehsil office and get your job done. These guys have the latest formats for all kinds of documentation acceptable by the Embassy. No need to run around from pillar to post and waste your precious time. They charge a small fee, which is normal these days. Hope this will be helpful. Best wishes.

                      • URGENT HELP PLEASE - Hi all, my parents have their IR5 interview scheduled at mumbai consulate on Sep 26th. However, I am not able to find any slot via usvisascheduling.com for biometric at New Delhi VAC (as well as all other VACs) before September 26th.

Can someone please advise what I can do to expedite biometric appointment request?

                        Thanks in advance!

visa_jdoe In same boat as you. Interview is scheduled for Sep 26th in Mumbai and Delhi VAC is showing avails in november. I went ahead and emailed [email protected] to find a resolution because I read somewhere in this forum that rescheduling IR-5 interviews is not advisable and earliest dates can be 6 months or after original interview dates. Anyway please keep us posted.

Thanks for this message. I read exactly the same information on Mumbai consulate instructions page. They clearly mentioned that the NABC document is required by people who were born “after” 1971 and dont have birth certificate for some reason. My mother’s year of birth is 1961 and I got 2 affidavits from her close relatives elder to her and will also carry her educational certificates.

                              • Hello,

my parents’ interview has been scheduled for Sep 1 at Mumbai consulate. I cannot find any biometrics appointment slots before their interview date. The earliest one available is Oct 1 in Hyderabad VAC which is one month after their interview. Will this be okay? I have been checking online multiple times everyday but can’t find any available slots in any cities before their interview. Please advise.
