I got confirmation from NVC that my parent's IR5 visa application is Documentarily Qualified(is this what DQ stands for?) and that the next step would be for the Mumbai consulate to schedule an interview on 29-DEC-2020 11:05:56 EST.
Has anybody around this date received an email inviting them to schedule a Visa interview? We are very anxious and I am hoping to hear from others who have had success, so kindly share any details you may be able to, so we can start planning things. Thank you in advance for your time and help. Thanks!

To, JMS65 / Kd1925 / gkd / GeoMac/ AlienKanpur, and all the other kind hearted members :-
Thanks to each one of you and your tremendous support, we both received our Interview email at 4.21 PM today, that is 03rd February. Our Interview is scheduled for the 28th February.
In fact we were alerted by our son from the US. Immediately after that, we sat for the online filling up of the forms for Medicals and the Biometrics appointment and most importantly to register ourselves at
Since, we were previously registered two years ago, we just put in our User ID and chose the " Forgot Password " option. They gave us a temporary password, we put in our new password. Thereby what happened was that all our details, like passport, addresses came automatically filled in.
Please remember to change your address as to where you wish to receive your passports after the process is complete.
Since we live in Goa, on our application, we had to change our Goa home address to a local Mumbai address to receive our passports.
We have been lucky to get the Biometrics appointment at The Mumbai VAC centre on 17th February. We have filled up the forms of the Rele Clinic for the Medical appointment, but due to some server related issues, they accepted the forms, however told us that appointment for our Medicals will be given between the 10th February to the 14th February.
So, our timeline is as follows :-
DQ date :- 19th August 2020.
Email received for the Interview :- 03rd February 2022.
Medical Appointment :- Will be allotted by Rene Clinic between the 10th and 14th of February.
Biometrics appointment at VAC, Mumbai :- 17th February at 2.00 PM.
Actual Interview :- 28th February 2022 at 8.30 AM.
I shall be giving as many details that I can, which may be helpful to all on this forum.
Once again with a deepest sense of gratitude to each one of you.
Thank you and God Bless each one of you with an early date.
With warm regards to All.

I have benefitted tremendously from the information in this forum and I'm immensely thankful to everyone who contributed; this is my attempt to reciprocate. I hope some of you find this information useful.
Father's DQ Date: 4th August 2020
Mother's DQ Date: 21st October 2020
Biometrics appointment at VAC, Mumbai: 20th February 2022
PCC appointment, Mumbai: 14th February 2022
Medical Appointment: To be allotted by Rele Clinic Mumbai
Immigrant Visa Interview, Mumbai: 24th February 2022
Although my parents had different DQ dates, they are scheduled for their immigrant visa interview on the same day.

[QUOTE=gharya54;n776499]To,
SG2020 :- They would want the Petetioner's ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE or A CERTIFIED COPY. His passport photocopy, you may carry the Naturalisation Certificate, but they would not ask you for it. The passport is enough. His W2 and 1040 as Affidavit of Support as far as finance is concerned. A photocopy of the Company latter that he works for describing his designation and salary including perks. Yes, with his signature OR e-signature is OK.
With regards.[/QUOTE
