Received IL letter by email today. DQ date Nov 19th. Interview April 4th 9am.

But I am struggling to get VAC appointment on website. I had tried to create a login and interview appointment in past and now it asked me to merge the account when I tried to get new appointment now. After I agreed the merge the account, it shows me just single page after logging in saying upload your passport. No other options. Anyone had this issue?

Any thoughts welcome. Thanks...

I had same issue for my In laws and have to call them to correct that to send correct profile to correct email account. You can email them as well, but it will take 24 to 48 hours for answer, so I prefer call them and request them to transfer profile to correct account due to interview is very closed by and finger print needs to be done before that as well. Naturally CR1 / IR1 (the spouses) are in top priority I saw an excel sheet online somewhere which showed that IR1 / CR1 are much forward, probably their current interviews are of DQ dates of April-May 21. There is a new topic for IR1 / CR1 people. You can put your queries and views in that so gradually a group of IR1/CR1 will form and you will get information. More…go to NVC ‘s site (travel.state.gov) and click on visa statistics>monthly immigrant visa issuances. There you can scroll down and open the latest month ( January 2022). You will see all categories in all consulates around the globe. Scroll and see Mumbai CR1 data. This will give a faint idea as to how many visas are issued every month. If you have time write down all month wise CR1 figures and see how many before you are cleared. And so you will have faint idea as to when your turn will come.

Glad that your sister and her husband could land in US. It is interesting to note that your sister DQD was June 2021, but 2021IR5's mother DQD being Jan 2021 did not get an IL still. How does this even work?

Really really sorry for giving a wrong information. THIS WAS TOTALLY INADVERTANT. The DQ date was JUNE 20, 2020. SORRY friends NOT 2021. I am myself DQD on March 23, 2021 and waiting. Sorry again.

The Category of CR1/IR1 are the topmost priority. I think this category is about six months ahead of the IR5 category. NVC is sending out letters for IR5 with DQ date in November 2020. For IR1 it could probably be March/April 21. So the December DQD people should expect to hear in 3 to 4 months. Best wishes.

New to this forum.. i have applied GC for mom through counsular processing .. i see you are all referring to DQ date .. is it the date where the site says ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS are received and approved ?.. we have that date as 19th DEC 2020.. any ideas when we can expect interview letter.

You can create an account/ register and book a slot when you receive IL

You have to decide at which hospital you want your medicals to be done . Check on the hospital website what the process is.

Thanks for all the tips. This forum is great! I am able to set up biometrics and medical appointments for my parents. PCC interview is done, now hoping to get the new PCC before they leave for Interview(5th April).
does anyone know if after receiving green card, they need to stay in US for atleast 6 months? Is it 6 months in a calendar year(Jan-December) or is it rolling year, (example,April to April)

DQ ed Nov 2020 for my parents/IR 5 visa. Interview date - 7th April 2022.

Couple of questions?
1. Is police clearance certificate valid for 1 year or 2 years?
2. Couldn't find a appointments for biometrics in Hyderabad or Mumbai. I am afraid that we might not be able to find/book an appointment before 7th April. Can any one able to see biometrics appointments in hyperbad/Mumbai for March and 1st week of April? When we try to check few times - CGI website got locked out for 72 hrs - so we can't do/see anything if the appointments are even available. please advice or share your experiences.

Thank you for the information. Yes, I agree on the Medical exam appointment . The process is different for various hospital. I called one of the Appollo hospital and they said that they take appointments by phone call only. Rele clinic has an online portal for appointment.
