Is Mumbai consulate scheduling interviews for IR5 (Parent of a U.S. citizen)

First of all, it is a very very helpful forum. Thank you all for sharing information. I am also waiting for interview letter from NVC for my father for IR5 category.
Priority date Jan 2020
DQ date March 2021

PCC is vaild for 6 months .apply again if it’s expired.i am also waiting for My parents Interview .My parents DQ date mother April 2020 nd dad july 2020. I have one question is NVC schedule same date for interview or different dates . Thanks

Hi, as per https://travel.state.gov/content/tra...documents.html the police certificate is valid for 2 years. Can you please share why you think its 6 months?

Please note PCC validity is country specific. I emailed support at usatraveldocs and was advised that Indian PCC is valid for 1 year after issue. This is also written on the Indian usatravel docs website.

saroshss, with these PD and DQ , did they give you interview appointment anytime ? If they gave an appointment and later cancelled owing to COVID, then I think you have to take appointment yourself.

My friend's parents received IR5 visa on July 13 2021 in Mumbai. Their DQ was Jan 7 2020. Appointment was fresh one (that is not cancelled previously due to consulate shutdown).
My parents also waiting, DQ June 2020. Anyone with new appointments, please share your DQ dates so the community can track the progress. Thank you for this helpful forum!!
