Is Mumbai consulate scheduling interviews for IR5 (Parent of a U.S. citizen)

My wife's case for IR5 was documentarily qualified on 12th December 2019. Originally scheduled interview, as conveyed by NVC was 13th April 2020, which was canceled by Mumbai consulate. After receiving email from Mumbai US consulate for further processing on 5th March 2021 , we have fixed dates through our account for biometric at new Delhi on 15th April & interview at Mumbai US consulate on 29th April.

when did you get the email from NVC for scheduling the finger print and interview?
Was the latest available for interview was on 4/29 only and not early?

I got the email from Mumbai consulate & not NVC, since the case was sent by nvc to mumbai consulate in December 2019.
When was your case documentary qualified. That will give you some idea about getting appointment for interview at Mumbai US consulate

Thank Murli, My mother's application was documentarily qualified on may2020, so waiting on an email from mumbai consulate for scheduling her medical and interview appointment.

As stated in my previous posts, my wife's case documentarily qualified in December 2019 & my case documentarily qualified in February 2020. My wife's interview is fixed on 29th April 2021 at Mumbai while my case is still at NVC. I will post on this forum whenever I get email from NVC regarding date for interview.

Hey please help me I have one question about IR-5 visa interview for my parents. Actually, I parents 1st interview was set on 8th of April 2020 but due to covid-19 NVC canceled my parents 1st interview.

Last month on 5th of March 2021 I got email from NVC.



My Question is that can I take any date for my parents interview or they will send me interview date?

I have already booked for biometrics at New Delhi on 15th April and interview at Mumbai US consulate on 29th April 2021
You have to regularly check through your account if any slots are available and immediately book it.
There are not many dates available.

NVC will not send you new date. The cancelation was done by Mumbai US consulate & now NVC has no role in this matter

I am trying every single day to schedule an appointment for IR5 . It’s not available. I tried calling at Mumbai consulate also . They said first come first serve. Since last month I am trying to schedule an appointment still I can’t see any slots.

Till last week there were 6/7 dates available in April. So I could book interview on 29th April. Now I can't see any date for next 3/4 months.
Keep checking regularly bcos slots in between may be available against cancelation.
Please recheck if you are login to your account properly.

Every day I am calling to Mumbai consulate. What time did you check online to schedule an appointment?

what is your DQ date ?
Frequently check as sometimes they might open when some NIV gets cancelled
My understaning is Dec 2019 DQ dates are getting interviews, not sure i yours later than that

I got email on March 5th 2021. I try to schedule an appointment for an interview but I can’t find any open slots. I call every single day to Mumbai consulate to schedule my interview . But as I said there is no empty slots available. Please help. Thank you
