Parents were DQ on June 26 2020.
Received an email this evening and their interviews are scheduled on January 14th.
Will inform once I make appointments for biometrics and medical exam.
Do they let anyone accompany the elderly parents for the interview?

Yes that as a lot of travel for parents, and in such covid times its very risky too, and plus such a short notice.
I have emailed the mumbai consulate, and will call them tomorrow during their office hours. Will update you once I hear back from them.

Hello everyone,
Just making sure, when we get interview letter we have to schedule biometrics appointment with visa application center using link
Get medical done and should have already police clearance certificate . Are these visa application center only at 5 places in India. We will have visa interview date from NVC so no need to schedule it.

Finally!!!!
DQ June 2020, received Interview date for January 12, 2022 at Mumbai for both my parents. Now I can't find any VAC appointments in Mumbai or Delhi!
Is this something new that's happening now?
I am able to see couple dates in Kolkata for end of December but that will be very inconvenient for my elderly parents to first go Amritsar to Kolkata for fingerprints and then Mumbai for interview.
Wondering if the dates open up? or there's a way to request appointments based on the interview date.
