Do my parents need to take the original of MY birth certificate and marriage certificate too for the interview?

Do I have to mail these to them from the US?
To, Sumita1986 :- If not the Original a Notarised or as we say an " authenticated copy " of your birth certificate is definitely needed. In case of an emergency situation, at least send them a good clearly visible photocopy. The Authorities may consider it as they have the one filed by you during your paper work.
Your Marriage certificate not needed. Check the NVC website " Preparation for the Interview ". It clearly states that Birth Certificate of the Sponsor is required.
    With regards and good wishes.

To: Sumita 1986, Please log in to your account at CEAC, with case number and Invoice Id and check the list of documents submitted by the petitioner and the applicant. Originals of all those documents and one photo copy of each have to be carried along for interview. Apart from that
      1. Interview appointment letter
      2. Passport
3.Two Identical Color photographs (as per guidelines for photo)
      4. Confirmation page of DS 260
      5. Welcome letter
      6. Valid Police Clearance Certificate (this is valid for one year from the date of issue)
      7. Your latest finance / tax documents / Affidavit of Support
      8. COVID vaccination certificate with passport number in it.

      Originals and one photo copy

some docs like citizenship and petitioners passport etc. are photocopies only.

My mom renewed her passport too. We didn't update the new passport on DS260, we just submitted the new one for all the appointments and carried the old passport as well. They just took the old passport at the interview to cancel the visa.

                      • To all forum members: some optimistic calculations. Please do not take it as confirmed data, it is only an assumption.
In April 21, total pending at NVC were 494289. As per available figures, till Jan 2022, a total of around 369126 cases are done. If we go by this trend, the DQ of April21 may expect interview in April-may 22.

Dear GeoMac, very optimistic and very encouraging. Let us hope that the Mumbai embassy can continue with the same efficiency. Best wishes to all.

                              • Hello everyone,

Good to learn that things are moving fast. My mothers DQ date is August 2021, she is a Kenyan national residing in India since 1969, we have applied everything on her Kenyan Passport, which has now changed to a new e-passport.

Do I get the new PCC on the new passport or continue with the Old Passport. Please advise, will I have to make any updations to the DS 260.

Currently it appears that they are processing 4 months in every 2 months, i.e. From DQ date May 2020 in December 2021 they have moved to DQ August 21, 2020 on 8th February 2022. So it appears that DQ August 2021 can come by July - August 2022 (fingers crossed)

So any suggestions that I apply for Indian PCC now as processing in her case also take over a month (I need to apply to FRRO, which I did earlier)

                                Regards to All
