Is Mumbai consulate scheduling interviews for IR5 (Parent of a U.S. citizen)

Hi Everyone,

New to this post and looking for some help.
Got IL for my parents today. here are the details:
DQ - Oct 2020
Interview Date - March 10 (Mumbai)

Question 1: My parents traveled to the US on a tourist visa in the past so now when I am trying to book the biometrics appointment for them, the system is getting confused and keep on asking the DS-160 confirmation number on the dependent page whereas the field says I need to enter - DS 260 confirmation #. It won't let me proceed to the next page. Already created a ticket with the support team. Any recommendation to rectify the issue would be helpful.
- Can we book the biometrics appointment via any other method than the website since I am experiencing issues there? if yes, can it also be scheduled at a different VAC than Mumbai?

Question 2: My parent's PCC was issued a year and a half ago. Although we have booked the appointment with the passport office to issue a new PCC, there is no way it will be issued before the interview date (March 10).
- Is it a good idea to appear in the interview without the most recent PCC? does anyone have a similar experience?

Is DS260 confirmation page is the one which has title:
Immigration visa and alien registration confirmation page and includes
Your name
nationality
case number
case completed date
confirmatioin number

Even I have the same question - is DS-260 confirmation page the same one that we filled in the ceac website. Do we print it out from there or do we get another copy in the interview letter email.

Dear VMP, the IL is issued by the NVC and all the files are also transferred to the consulate. All subsequent processing is then at the consulate.

Dear Vshar01, I do not have a first hand experience so far. But it seems that the email address that you are using may have been used for the B1/B2 application. Try using a different email.
You have to schedule your biometric appointment through the process mentioned in the interview letter. Biometrics can be scheduled anywhere in India, but I guess you need to have at least two days between the biometrics and the interview.
Do not wait for getting the fresh PCC. You can go to the interview with the existing PCC. The passports will be kept by the consulate and you will be asked to submit the fresh PCC at the nearest VAC. Once you submit the desired documents, the VISA will be issued within 3 working days and the passports will be sent to the collection center chosen by you. Very recently (January 6) my sister and brother in law went through the same situation. They have been admitted in the US two days ago.

Dear AK1984, NVC will send email to the petitioner, the beneficiary and the attorney if any. No hard copies are sent. Keep checking your spam folder also. Best wishes.

Not able to create an account with ustravel docs , says account is locked and to contact admin. Its been more than 72 hrs and email to support didn't help either. Any advise who would be able to help ? We don't have interview letter yet but expecting it soon. We were able to login for 1 parent, can we use the same to schedule for other also ?

Before adding, create separate login by providing different email ID. This will prompt you that this profile already exists. Here it will ask your confirmation by showing "Confirm" and "Cancel". You should confirm this. Thereafter, it ask you to attach copy of passport of that applicant. Then submit. After sometime you will get new password. Login with the new password, change password, re-login, save details. Add other applicant and move further. T

Dear YOKA, Great news. Generally there are no questions asked, because the Immigration people at the airport will access the NVC data only if they get concerned. Please keep in mind that You have to return around the time the Interview letter is sent by the NVC. Best wishes
