Has any member got IL after DQ date 27th October 2020? There must be many after that DQ date but they may not be on this forum so we do not get information.Comment

So sorry to hear about your Dad's x- ray showing TB.
Additional tests are done to rule out that it is TB. These tests take time.
The hospital would have guided you on what steps you should take next.

I had a little bit of scare with my birth certificate..against my name in my BC only my dad's last name (family name) is mentioned and an affidavit was made by my parents testifying that it was my birth certificate.
But the person checking the documents asked whether I had documents to prove I changed my name...Gazette notification, News paper notification and affidavit . He didn't want to look at the affidavit saying anyone can make an affidavit. So the whole time I was waiting I was anxious.
Fortunately the Visa Officer accepted when I told her it was my father's last name. ( A note was made saying one of my documents had a different name).
My birth certificate and my affidavit were accepted by NVC.Comment

On other group two members with DQ 10 and 12 November got IL yesterday.To my surprise I have not yet received it with DQ 7 November.My wife’s DQ is 3rd February and I am expecting IL for both together .Originally posted by GeoMac View Post

Hello All,
I am a new member and would like to share my experience.
My son is a born citizen of USA. He got married in India in early March 2021 and applied for VISA for his wife in mid March, 2021.
The Petition was approved Mid September 2021 (About 6 Months later)
Got approval from NVC - Documentarily Qualified - Mid January 2022.
Now waiting for Interview Date for His wife at Bombay Consulate.
By God's grace, there was no glitch like RFE etc so far.
The kids are chewing nails of course. I would love to get an idea when we can expect the IL.
I will keep you all posted.
