My Father DQ date is Jan. So even I am expecting the interview to come up any time.
I would like to know what kind of questions are asked during the interview. Trying to get an opinion. Do you think I(petitioner) should go to India and be present during the interview.
My father is 75+ years old and even though he has been to US several times via work and visit; he will definitely forget what we filled in the documents 2 years ago. I just dont want the interview to be messed up just ‘cause I was’nt there.

New to this post and looking for some help.
Got IL for my parents today. here are the details:
DQ - Oct 2020
Interview Date - March 10 (Mumbai)
Question 1: My parents traveled to the US on a tourist visa in the past so now when I am trying to book the biometrics appointment for them, the system is getting confused and keep on asking the DS-160 confirmation number on the dependent page whereas the field says I need to enter - DS 260 confirmation #. It won't let me proceed to the next page. Any recommendation to rectify the issue would be helpful.

Thank you in advance for your help.

PCC from PSK..valid for 1 year
When booking slots for biometrics don't log in too many times or else you get logged out for 72 hrs. View the site 3 or 4 times in 24 hours.
If you dont get slots in the city you prefer try in an alternate city. Slots keep opening up and you will eventually get a slot in your preferred city.
I received my interview letter 22 Feb 2022 for interview on March 3rd. Only 9 days.
I could schedule a medical appointment only on March 1st. Took Dolo as a precaution even though I didn't have any reactions from the vaccines.
2 weeks is enough time to prepare for the interview so don't worry.

Final interview was on 1 April ,8.30 am .Some tips :
At the entrance they have locker to deposit electronic gadgets ,(cell phone etc). @ rs 50 per gadget.
At the Consulate,BKC we reached at 7.45 and were admitted immediately.
Very comfortable waiting lounge.
First call by Indian officer who collected our original Birth Certificates,Marriage Certificate,PCC,Passports,DS260 confirmation page stamped by VAC,Original interview letter(IL).
Then we waited for final call by Councillor for more than 2 hrs 45 mts.
He asked us to take oath and did biometrics.
We were asked basic questions about sponsor and family.
Also asked for latest TAX papers ,W2 etc.We had taken Employer’s letter ,Transcripts for earlier years which he saw and thanked for showing them.Very courteous officer ,returned all originals and Tax papers.
Retained Passports and gave note stating visa is approved, and how to pay USD 220 per person as GC fees.
Total photos taken :One by Rele clinic since reports go online to consulate.
Two for biometric to staple on DS260 confirmation letter.
The final interviewing officer returned this DS260 with photographs also.

I am finding it very hard to book a VAC appointment. Did follow the instructions given by other members but still not getting the the page where I can book an appointment. It says Thank you for contacting the U.S. Visa Service Desk. We would like to inform you that, your profile duplication request needs to be raised from a different / new email address.
