For example, You can have an idea when your case will be schedule for interview based on DQ date. Currently: all IR-5 cases with DQ date up to December 18, 2020 has already been scheduled for interview. Therefore, next round would be those who has DQ approval date between 2nd half of December 2020.

Pretty much this will give you somewhat idea of when will your interview be scheduled.

My mother in law case has DQ date of December 23, 2020, therefore, I will update the status on the tracker soon as I receive Interview Notification and Interview date. This data will help rest of the people in the tracker to estimate what is truly going on.

Anyone took recently medical appointment at Max Mohali, online it is showing unavailable for next few months. If so, how did you take it?
just preparing in advance as interview letter may come in next few weeks based on information shared by few others.

Original Birth certificate and Marriage certificate of your Petitioner and the same of you (Parent,Beneficiary) are required to be carried to the interview. AOS can be downloaded (and printed) from your ceac account. Also W2 and IT Return copies of your Petitioner and Supporter.

Are you sure that original birth and marriage certificate of petitioner needed? In earlier posts who went through interview process, its mentioned only applicant's birth and marriage certificate needed. I request people who already went through interview process, please share your experience.

Parents interview successful and got approval of immigration visa today

Parents applied in June 2019
DQ November 2020
Received IL on March 15th 2022 for interview date of April 7 2022/ Mumbai
Initially had trouble with Ustravel docs site and was locked out for 72 hours before we got the biometrics appointment. We couldn't see the dates available before the interview date initially
Able to get finger print /VAC on March 21st
PCC was obtained in Aug 2020 , around 1.5 years old. Us travel docs support email confirmed PCC is valid for 2 years.
Earliest PCC appointment in Hyderabad was April 13th / after interview date, so we couldn't get the fresh PCC
Medical completed March 24th
No birth certificates for both parents, instead took notarized affidavits from older siblings confirming their birthdates and marriage. We initiated birth certificates process with non trace certificates but that may take few more weeks or months
We had concern above for PCC validity and what if consulate keeps passports.

Interview notes

• usual initial collection of documents by Indian officer. We requested interview in Telugu
• Around 3 hour wait
• Very short interview. The only question they asked about was overstay my parents had. We had filed for extension of stay each time. They asked how many times they overstayed or applied for extension. My moms visitor visa got cancelled in 2019 after she over stayed and travelled back to India pending extension application. Her visa got cancelled immediately the next day after she landed in INDIA. Her visa extension letter was received couple of months later.
• Parents showed approved extension letters and answered number of times they over stayed/applied extension.
• Us officer went back and confirmed and mentioned the details were correct and everything looks good
• We got the usual pay uscis $220 and standard letter stating passports to be collected after 3-4 business days
• no mention of needing new PCC etc. they seem to have accepted 1.5 year old PCC

I know number of us go through this painful process. Please let me know if you have any questions. I can answer to the best of my knowledge. Thank you for the help!

Yes, Some one in the forum suggested that they should have sponsor's original marriage and birth certificates. So we we have mailed from USA for my parents to take them. They also had original birth certificate of my brother as well. But apparently none of them were asked to be shown. So we wasted $100 to mail them but it might to be safe for them to have them if asked. Hope this helps!

My parents DQed dates were different (my mom's was November 2020 and dad's was Feb 2021 because of an RFE on marriage certificate) but both got the interview on the same day. And also looks like they went by my mom's DQed date rather than my dad's. Hope this helps!

My parents were able to schedule appointment at max Mohali. They had to call them to schedule appointment. They had to try multiple times to get connected to someone on phone but were able to eventually set up the appointment.

Hey Parents got the visa! Their appt was for 730 ans they were out in 2 hrs. Question were asked such as: what is you son name? What does he do? How did he go to US? How old are his kids? That’s all! No documents were asked to show so pretty quick and smooth !
