Dear friends,
I calculated on the basis of global backlog of all immigration cases on March 31st, 2021 which was 494289.
Since then every month a certain number of IV cases were scheduled which tallied to 457465 till April 2022 end. This means that on 1st May 2022, there are 36824 cases left to be scheduled in May which I suppose they must be doing now. (In April they did 32439 cases and 32317 in March) So if this trend persists for May as well, all of the backlog for the DQD of March-April 2021 will be over and they are likely to receive IL very soon.
Please remember, these are global figures. Mumbai consulate, as seen in past 3 months, works for IR5 once in every 3 weeks. And that (auspicious) day falls on 10th of this month. So cross fingers AlienKanpur, and wait for congratulations from all of us.Last edited by GeoMac; 05-03-2022, 02:10 AM.

He did complete his VAC appointment the same time. Today we came to know that his tests are negative. What happens know ? Does he need to do his VAC process again ? Can anyone help me and explain the process. Thanks in advance.

Keep us updated once you choose the place for medical.

All, thanks very much to the forum and all the participants here - it has been immensely helpful giving clarity on an otherwise obscure process. We have a DQ date of Feb 26, 2021 and was curious if anyone knows - once the IL comes through, is there a fixed date on which the interview needs to be scheduled, or can you select a date within some window (and if yes, how long do you have to schedule the interview)?
We'd love to have a family member help support during the medical/fingerprinting/interview process, which will require some scheduling as one of us will fly out from the US to India. Thank you again!

Last week, I got a notice from NVC about canceling his application due to no updates for a year. My question is -- should I notify NVC of his death? Does notifying or not notifying have any impact to my mother's application?

I hope someone from this forum can help with next steps. My dad was questioned a lot because of his pre-existing condition, it was like an interrogation session. they gave both of them 4 shots each, my mom got some reaction. It's just painful at this point, not sure what to do.
