Is Mumbai consulate scheduling interviews for IR5 (Parent of a U.S. citizen)

Got my IL just now. My Interview date is 21st June.DQD 3rd April 2021.

Dear friends,
I calculated on the basis of global backlog of all immigration cases on March 31st, 2021 which was 494289.
Since then every month a certain number of IV cases were scheduled which tallied to 457465 till April 2022 end. This means that on 1st May 2022, there are 36824 cases left to be scheduled in May which I suppose they must be doing now. (In April they did 32439 cases and 32317 in March) So if this trend persists for May as well, all of the backlog for the DQD of March-April 2021 will be over and they are likely to receive IL very soon.
Please remember, these are global figures. Mumbai consulate, as seen in past 3 months, works for IR5 once in every 3 weeks. And that (auspicious) day falls on 10th of this month. So cross fingers AlienKanpur, and wait for congratulations from all of us.

Hello GeoMac and every one else in the Forum, we just received the mail for the interview at Mumbai on June 10. Our DQ date is March 23. Tushkatheriya would have also received the IL. GeoMac your observation has come true. Incidentally when is your DQ date. I will keep the forum updated as things move. Best wishes to all.

In the email from nvc, it doesn't mention to book appointment for biometrics. My parents do have b1 b2 visa. Do I still need to schedule biometrics?

All Immigrant or Diversity Visas
We are now contacting applicants in all immigrant visa categories and instructing them to make appointments under this option. If you have not been specifically instructed by the Consulate to make an appointment, your appointment will be cancelled.

I have received IL just now . DQ 29th Mar 21 . However, my wife name is not appearing in the IL nor there is a separate invite for her. Her DQ date is 29th Jun 2021. Does the IL contain both the names or just one ?

Interview on 21st June. My DQD is 3rd April 2021. Wonderful isn’t it? Within one blow they cleared Feb. March and came to first week of April.

Hi my parents DQ date is 26/27 march 2021. No IL yet. GeoMac your DQ date is in April and you got IL and we did not receive it yet. what should I do?
