Is Mumbai consulate scheduling interviews for IR5 (Parent of a U.S. citizen)

For biometrics appointment,
My parents tourist visa appointment was created using different gmail id which can't be verified. I created a new account on ustraveldocs and now that account is locked as they find the information similar to other account. Will probably need to call them. Mentioning that so others don't make the same mistake

I will probably call them today and update what information I got. This is really poor information. It should be mentioned clearly.

I got IL for my father today. Interview date is June 09. His DQ date is March 20,2021. I have booked his Biometric appointment for 2 pm for June 08 at Mumbai. His interview is next morning. At 8am. Is that good enough time gap or do I need to have more time between the two appointments?

In your interview letter go to the link given for interview preparation instructions.
Go to 2 . Register for courier service/ other pre interview instructions
Select Mumbai consulate
Go to
Select country
Select immigrant visa
Click on green login tab on top right corner
Follow the instructions

There were lot of dates an spots open about 2 hours before.

If you are not registered earlier you can register as new user. Here you will be asked for visa pick up location and then will be directed for biometrics appointment. It is little confusing and looks like you are applying for new visa appointment but at some point you will be asked if your interview is already scheduled, click yes on that.

I have read the letter very carefully and have gone to the related links. Except for the medical, we are not expected to do anything else. Please correct me if this is incorrect. I see no place where we can schedule the Bio metric. Am I missing something.

Urgent, can VAC appointment be in different city than Mumbai? trying to book OFC appointment , it gave me 5 option, Including Kolkata. what should i do? can i book vac and visa interview in different city?
