Is Mumbai consulate scheduling interviews for IR5 (Parent of a U.S. citizen)

Rele Clinic told my mother over the phone that they need the physical letter and email won't work, hence the worry. I've still sent them the email just in case, and waiting to hear if that's ok with them.

It should not be an issue. Mumbai has lots of appointment available every day.

Unfortunatley i do not see anything 1 week before June 2.

I sent a PDF of the email to the clinic and I'm hoping they will accept that for the physical. I'll also plan on uploading my latest return and W2's to the portal per your recommendation, and will also ensure my parents carry a copy of it to the appointment.

I had a follow-up question. If there is no physical IL sent out, is the printout of the email sufficient for the actual IV appointment as well? It looks like you're going to be taking it to the biometrics appt, so that seems promising, but was wondering if that's not an issue for the actual IV appt. Dear nash_d, the print out of the e-mail, is the physical letter. To the best of my knowledge No hard copies are sent out. We finished our biometrics yesterday at Delhi. Went in at 9.15 and we were done by 9.40am.
By God’s grace, We are now preparing for the interview at Mumbai on June 10. Best wishes to all.

Dear Lobby57, our medical was very routine. Blood pressure, height and weight were measured. Then you go for photography and signing some declarations. Then we went for x-ray. This seems to be the most important test. Our x-rays were normal. Then we went to the Doctor. He asked about the medical history, did some very cursory physical examination and then prescribed 4 vaccinations for each of us. These shots have to be purchased from their pharmacy. After the shots are done, they will give a paper with the information and a CD containing the x-ray. We got everything within 15 minutes of the vaccinations. Best wishes.

Just an update, my parents visa was approved yesterday!!!! Priority date was 3/11/2020. It took them ~2hrs in mumbai consulate. We used PCC from October'2020 and it was accepted without any issues. They didn't ask for any of my financial documents/tax returns etc (They were all submitted online when I filled the application couple of years back). Medical and fingerprints were done last week.

They were handed a paper asking to pay USCIS immigration fees. Wanted to check in this forum if we need to pay this fees now or we can wait for them to arrive in US and pay when we want to get physical green card.

Dear turbunatorcf, you need to read the paper you got very carefully. I understand that you can delay paying the fee. To the best of my knowledge you must pay the fee before your parents enter United States. Keep in mind that the medical is valid for six months so they have to enter US before that. Also see the validity of the VISA, they will get the passports in one week. SSN will arrive in about 5 weeks after entering and about 9 weeks for the plastic GREEN CARD.

Could you share what is in the paper? We did not get it.
Neither we got any medical CD or x-ray.

DQ: Jan 5th 2021, Interview: May 12th 2022.

Medical done on May 3rd in Mohali.
Finger printing done one day before in Mumbai
Interview done & cleared, not many questions asked...age of grand kids and how many time been in US before.
Next step: passport will be mailed to home address in few days.

Took the medical test appointment via calling them, web portal does not work. They only give appointment 5-10 days before visa interview.
It takes 4-5 hours in the hospital
They gave one paper saying medical is completed, rest they sent to consulate directly. No CD or x-ray given.
They gave 4 vaccinations like someone else posted above. (Fees: 10k for test + 8k for vaccines)
Rest they will take care to fill the forms, I sent first two pages of form filled so that they can take information from there.

Max Delhi gives a CD containing the x-ray, but the same is also uploaded to the embassy website. As suggested by the hospital staff, we have to carry this all the way to the US. My sister did that in February this year, but no body really bothered about it. Because all info is available on their network.
