Can some one share their thoughts on 'Health insurance' requirements for immigrants like us ? Will there be a check at the time of entry to US?
you can take any usual health insurance for about three months. Then once the SSN arrives you can take a local insurance probably under Obama Care. At the time of entry they will most likely not ask about the health insurance. The health of the beneficiary is the responsibility of the petitioner. My sister entered the US on February 23, with a travel insurance taken from ICICI. They got a insurance from United Insurance soon after getting their SSN. Best wishes.

Originally posted by GeoMacNow I have a question. My children in NY have sent me their latest w2 and Tax Returns. Will it be okay If these documents and last two pay stubs are uploaded in the ceac account now? Will that have any adverse effect? Please members I request for a straight answer. Thank you.
Our attorney said that their is no point in uploading to CEAC. But the IL says that the documents can be uploaded to CEAC, So I requested our attorney to do the same. I understand that all the W2s and the Tax returns have been uploaded. I remember that my sister's son had uploaded these documents, too, but they also carried the hard copies. The officer at the consulate did not ask for the W2 and tax returns as he had already seen them. So uploading is harmless, perhaps useful. Even though our documents have been uploaded we will carry all the print outs. Best wishes.

Sorry to hear about this.
There have been several cases posted in the forum, where the Sputum test had to be taken. I am not aware of this test. The results may take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks. Some body from the forum can answer this question better. If the results are negative then there is no issue, but if positive, then perhaps one has to take some treatment. Again I cannot say this with certainty. Please keep the forum updated as and when you learn more about this issue. Best wishes.

Any guidance on what documentation are needed when traveling to the US after visa approvals? The only letter we got was in how to pay the fee and passport with stamp. Do they need to take all the supporting document like ds260, supporting documents and such ?

Hello Everyone, I'd like some guidance on which documents are needed to provide evidence of financial support at the Consulate Interview. I see I-864, Tax Return and W2. Is there a need for paystubs, if so for how many periods. Also, do we need to send any employer letter? Thanks!

Hi
we were unable to attend the mumbai consulate interview for my parents GC. Has anyone been successful in getting a new interview? If yes, how did you get it? Did you get an email from embassy or did you book one yourself in ustraveldocs? I see that no appointments are available.
we've completed biometrics, pcc, medical etc.
Thanks

yankee25 has already responded to your query. My sister's experience in Feb. was exactly the same. However it will be advisable to carry all the documents. Best wishes.

A few days ago I had a telephonic conversation with our attorney. I-864 is already uploaded and need not be modified. Tax returns and W2 for all the interim years may be needed. It was also advised that we carry the last two paystubs of the petitioner. Employment verification letter was also suggested. I have collected all of these documents. I know for sure that upto date W2 and tax returns are a must, I am not too sure that the other documents will be required or not. Best wishes.

Sorry to hear that your parents missed their interview slot. To the best of my knowledge the Mumbai consulate will do nothing in this matter. One may however ask them to reschedule. In the mean time you need to continue to look for slots for the interview. I have heard that the appointments slots are very difficult to find. Best wishes in your endeavours.
