Is Mumbai consulate scheduling interviews for IR5 (Parent of a U.S. citizen)

Hi All,

Is there is a tracker that is used to know which DQ dates are getting IL's? Is it part of this forum? Appreciate if you can let me know.

Many people with DQ date in May June 2021 got ILs today. I have not luck yet for my parents DQ date in March 2021. So frustrating. I sent inquiry to NVC and i got the standard response that i am in a queue. I dont know what should I do now?

I can understand your situation. It can be really be frustrating when people of DQ date of middle of May have got the ILs. We can pray, that in the new set of letters which should come out anytime now, you will be among the recipients. Best wishes. If you still do not get it then you should try to make phone calls to the NVC. People say that it is quite difficult to get through. But that will be the only way out. I hope that this will not be required. Good luck.

Received IL for my parents an hour ago. DQ date is June 16th 2021. Interview Date August 22,2022

Thanks a lot for the congratulations. Best wishes for your parents interview on the 24th of June. I can understand the nervousness. I too was a bit nervous. But do not worry, by God's grace I have not seen any case in this forum whose case was rejected. There were cases, when some more information was needed by the officer and a form 221(g) has been given. But as I see all your papers are in order, so you can rest assured that God's blessing will be there on you all.
The two folders that you have made are just perfect. Nothing else will be needed. What is generally needed is available in your folder 1 items 1,2,4 (PCC-new) 5,6,7 and 8. From folder 2, they can ask for latest W2 and Tax returns, if they have not been uploaded on the CEAC website. I carried everything that you mention in folder 2, but they did not ask for any thing at all. It is ok to carry items 3 to 6 of folder 2, but I am almost certain that these will not be needed,
Ask your parents to carry only a phone and no electronic items, including smart watches. Phone can be deposited in a cubicle just outside the entrance to the Consulate for which Rs. 50 will be charged. They can come back and then call you with the good news.

I have not uploaded any recent Tax return or W2, i just have print out. My question is since their interview is next week should i upload anything now? 1st of all i did not know if CEAC website/Account. Should i upload under additional document?

Dear Forparents96 and AlienKanpur,
Perfect list of documents. Upload the last w2 and Tax return docs in CEAC account.
I have prepared similar bunch. Mine interview is on 21st.
Please keep some pictures showing Petitioner and Beneficiary together at any age/stage/function of life, along with some family members. No need of making big prints like 5x7, but the printer will make one single A4 sized photo paper sheet which will accommodate 9 pictures in it. Also carry along COWID vaccination certificate. If flying to Mumbai, wearing mask is mandatory.

I received IL for my mother yesterday. DQ date is June 15th 2021. Interview Date August 22,2022.

Since you have requested for expedite, now nvc is out of equation and will not schedule the interview, rather it should be scheduled by you or us embassy.

Thanks a lot GeoMac! i am planning to upload, however I am thinking is it too late to upload any document in CEAC account?

Also, after their DQ qualified (Apil 2021) i never uploaded any recent documents. Because what ever we have uploaded the status is showing "Accepted" on CEAC account. Now if i upload anything will that take time to show the status as a "Accepted" or it will show as a "Uploaded" ?

I'm in the same situation. DQ: 20 April, 2021 and still waiting for IL. No Response from NVC either. And they have suspended public telephone line also.

Received IL toady. DQ June 9 2021. Interview scheduled for Aug 19th.

there is no harm if you can upload. However the hard copies have to be carried. Officer may or may not see the uploaded documents. Uploading is not essential. Best wishes

in case you have already procured the new PCC, then submit the same. I carried the latest PCC procured in April this year. The consulate is accepting the old PCC too. Best wishes.
