My son has applied for Green Card for myself and my wife. Our D.Q. date is 08-04-21. We are waiting for our interview letter very anxiously. As we understand many cases after our D.Q. date have been called for interview. Is this normal ? What should we do to know expected date for our interview.

This is certainly not normal. But there are several cases in this forum, whose DQ date is around your date or even prior to yours and still waiting for the interview. To my knowledge not much can be done. All that you can do is send a query to the NVC or ask your son to try and phone them. I am not sure about the phone lines. Somebody in the forum mentioned that the phone lines are closed. But this is unlikely. Pray to the Almighty that your IL comes in the next round, possibly around the first week of July. Best wishes.

Dear Forparents96,
It is very much possible to upload. My petitioner uploaded latest Tax Returns Transcripts today only. It has been accepted and it can be seen in the uploaded documents. Upload the documents in right place e.g. if the docs are of petitioner, upload under petitioner.

Your IL is just round the corner as per my extrapolation. You will most probably get it in the next set of Letters from NVC. You can expect the IL in the first week of July with an interview date likely in August end or September beginning. I must add here that this is just a guess work based on the way the NVC has been sending out IR5 letters. Best wishes.

I was in the first batch of 7:30 am.
They asked us to occupy a box drawn on floor (social distancing) Everybody wore a mask however I did not hear anytime any official announced about mask. They were cordeal in behaviour and talks. You need to keep out in hand, the print out of appointment email. Once you are in, one lady in the hall will ask you to line up at window No 1 with DS260 confirmation letter (with biometrics stamp on it) in hand. Soon you will get a token number and wait to be called. When they call, an Indian guy will ask which language you prefer. They would provide a translator. I preferef English. He asked my Birth certificate, my wife's death certificate and PCC. I gave both PCC but he took the old one only. At this point I asked him about the valid period of PCC. He said TWO years. He also took my new passport. I offered the old passport too because there was visitors' visa and other country's visa too in it. The officer said "not now". He asked my mother's maiden surname for which I was not sure so I said I may guess but can not tell it for sure and also can not produce a documentary evidence. He said "dont worry". He staplled the token to the DS260 confirmation page and gave to me and asked to wait till call comes again by a consular officer.
At 9:00 I was called. He asked to raise right hand and say oath. I raised my hand and asked the officer to repeat what he said. While he repeated, I took off my hat and then said " I agree". He was pleased with my gesture. In questions he asked me
1. Who is calling you?
2. Is she married?
3. How many kids?
4. Where is she working and as what ?
5. What is her husband's name ?
6. and where is he working ?
7. Finally he asked me whether I am working ? I said No, I am retired. He asked me about my profession and in reply I gave him my profession's UK name but I realized that he did not get it so I said American name too. And he was convinced.
He took my old passport and told me that he would cancel my visitors visa because he has approved my immigration visa.
He gave me two sheets of printed papers, one read IMMIGRATION VISA GRANTED and another was to pay $220 before flying to the US. He kept my passport and said within 5 working days I will get it.
At the end I asked " is the interview over? shall I leave the consulate premises?" He said yes and bye.
At 9:20 I came out of the building.
